Boca Businessman Charged With Shooting Up Cars Near Mizner

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The reported owner of the “Exchange Lounge” on Palmetto Park Road was arrested and charged with shooting at several cars in the area of 99 SE Mizner Blvd Friday night.
Jonathan Hart was charged with two counts of armed burglary, two counts of vandalism, carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in public, improprer display of a firearm, possession of cocaine, and possession of a Schedule 2 and Schedule 4 controlled substance.
Hart, of Alta Meadows Lane in Delray Beach, remains in the Palm Beach County Jail.
Here’s the Boca Raton Police report:

On Friday, July 20, at about 11:30 p.m. Boca Raton Police officers responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area of 99 SE Mizner Boulevard.
Arriving officers made contact with a male, identified as Jonathan Hart, sitting in a green Ford. Hart got out of the car but then ignored officer’s commands to show his hands and reached for the waistband of his pants. Hart was taken into custody without further incident. Officers located a holster on the inside waistband of Hart’s pants and a gun on the passenger seat.
Investigating officers discovered numerous shell casings on the ground near several cars, including a black Mercedes, a silver Lexus, and a burgundy Honda. A witness said Hart fired several rounds into the Mercedes then entered it and rummaged through the glove box. Officers found the Mercedes with both doors open and damage from gunshots. Officers located the Lexus with the driver’s side door handle partially torn off, damage from gunshots, and a shell casing on the ground next to it. The Honda had a rear window broken and a shell casing on the ground near the front tire. Next to the Lexus, officers found a matchbox with the name of Hart’s business, The Exchange Lounge, printed on it, which contained several prescription pills.
When officers searched Hart, they found another matchbox with his business’s name on it, which contained cocaine. Officers charged Hart with two counts of armed burglary, two counts of vandalism, carrying a concealed firearm during the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm in public, improper display of a firearm, possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule II and Schedule IV controlled substance.
