Angelina Ballerina Dance To Be Taught At Boca Studio

Angelina Ballerina
A Boca Raton dance studio has been welcomed into the Angelina Ballerina dance academy.

BOCA RATON, FL ( — Congratulations to the Bravo! Academy of Performing Arts in Boca Raton, just welcomed into the network of “Angelina Ballerina” dance studios. While certainly a brilliant marketing move, it is also a way to excite young children — who watch Angelina Ballerina on the cable channel Sprout — to be excited about dance.

According to the academy:

Angelina Ballerina®, the “little star with big dreams,” will soon be sharing her love of dance with children in Boca Raton, Florida. Bravo! Academy of Performing Arts is now an official Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy, and joins a growing network of over 110 studios across North America that offer weekly classes based on the beloved dancing mouseling, star of the Angelina Ballerina book series and animated television program.

The 34-week program is inspired by the CG-animated series airing on PBS KIDS and Sprout®, Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, and it will focus on one story book per month. Targeted at children ages three to six years old, the program teaches beginner ballet at two levels. The Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy curriculum was developed by dance education specialist Beverly Spell, master teacher and author of the Leap ‘N Learn program.

Angelina Ballerina’s voice will guide aspiring dancers through their movement lessons, and the program incorporates music from Angelina Ballerina The Next Steps, as well as custom music developed by Spell and composer Scott Killian.

Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy in the U.S. and Canada was launched by HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading children’s entertainment producers, in partnership with AB Studio Licensing. The program already exists in the UK and Ireland, as well as Australia and New Zealand.
