BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Major thunderstorms are moving through Boca Raton this afternoon, and roads that were flooded yesterday are in worse shape today.
If you are out and about in a regular vehicle (non-suv), keep in mind that water is often deeper than it appears, and while it is unlikely you’ll drown, it is quite possible that you will flood your engine which can be a very expensive repair. SUVs should have no problem, however the water is so deep in some places that we have witnessed water up to the bumper of traditional SUVs.
Here is the latest Flood Advisory from the National Weather Service. As always, if you have photos of damage or flooding, send them to news(at)bocanewsnow.com. We will be thrilled to credit your work.
