Boca Raton Christian School is celebrating 40 years of providing a high caliber college preparatory Christian education in downtown Boca Raton. A 40th Anniversary celebration will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the Boca Raton Community Church Sanctuary at 601 NW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton. Over 500 guests are expected including local dignitaries and the first headmaster of the school, Dr. Alex Ward. The event will include music by grades PreK3-12, memories and tributes to past and current staff and students. The 40th Anniversary will launch a three year capital campaign, Taking the Next Step, to provide operational support, financial aid to students and enhancements to the school buildings and grounds. In the early days of the school some of the buildings were actually WWII Army Air Corps barracks and administrative buildings. Previous funding campaigns have allowed the school to build and equip classrooms, offices, a gymnasium and a new 3-in-1 athletic field. Today the school educates over 550 students from age 3 to 18 on its one 22-acre campus in downtown Boca Raton.
Boca Raton Christian School is a Bible-centered school distinguished by its academic excellence and caring environment.
