Broken Sound bests other area country clubs in Golf.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — As the world is fixated on the Vice Presidential debate, the economy, terrorism and unemployment, take a moment to acknowledge the big news in Boca Raton — home of the third Presidential Debate in just a matter of days.

Broken Sound has bested Boca Lago, Boca West, Boca Greens, Boca Pointe, Boca Woods, Woodfield and others in Men's Golf during the 2012 Inter league competition.

According to Broken Sound:

Broken Sound defeated Stonebridge Country Club in the finals by a score of 5 to 4, leading to Broken Sound’s 3rd South County League victory over the past 5 years. Eighteen golf teams from the Palm Beach area represented their club, including: Aberdeen, Boca CC/Gleneagles, Boca Greens, Boca Lago, Boca Pointe, Boca West, Boca Woods, Delaire, The Fountains, Hunters Run, Indian Spring, Mizner, Polo, Stonebridge, Woodfield, and Wycliffe.

The Broken Sound team concluded the summer season with back-to-back championships, including a record high of 10 wins, 1 loss, and 5 ties, defeating Delaire Country Club in the quarter-finals of the South County League, and Indian Spring Country Club in the semi-finals.

Broken Sound is considered one of the premier golf course communities in Palm Beach County. The Old Course, home to the PGA Senior Tour’s Championship is well known for its natural beauty, reflecting that of a northern atmosphere, while the Club Course represents a more traditional South Florida flavor, distinguishing it as the Old Course’s perfect golfing counterpart.
