A sheriff's car is seen at the back of the parking lot where fire lanes have been installed to prevent illegal parking by Starbucks in Glades Plaza. Tickets run several hundred dollars.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Palm Beach County has installed fire lanes outside the Starbucks in Glades Plaza — 441 and Glades Road — bringing an out of control parking situation under control.

For years, drivers believing they were causing no problems by illegally parking their gold Lexuses and Toyota Camrys 'just to run into Starbucks' created traffic havoc, often preventing legally parked cars from leaving.

Now, sheriff's deputies have apparently increased their patrol of the parking lot while new signs and bright yellow paint make it clear that drivers illegally parked may receive tickets worth hundreds of dollars.
