Mixed Grades For Boca Raton Area High Schools

News Palm Beach County Schools

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The Florida Department of Education has released its annual report card grading the performance of area high schools, and Boca Raton area schools did very well, overall.

Boca Raton Community High School scored an A, with both West Boca and Olympic Heights receiving the grade of “B”. The point totals used to grade the schools were down overall, although criteria changed.

Unlike previous years where the FCAT was the primary factor in determining grades, this year's report card is based on other factors including graduation rate, participation and performance in accelerated coursework — such as AP classes — and college readiness.
