BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Kids are being killed in Chicago. The weather has been violently cold in the Midwest. And in Boca Raton, a homeowner in Boca Wood Country Club called police because her house was hit by a golf ball.

The home sits on a golf course.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office:

“(Woman) states that her residence on Boca Woods Lane, which sits on a golf course, was hit by a golf ball. She came home to find the bedroom on the east side of the residence glass sliding door was shattered. She states there was a golf ball in the room and she believes the door was hit by hit. She has no further information to provide at this time.”

The woman, we are told, was given a case number and we suspect was told to call her insurance company.
