Elderly Woman Run Over By Own Car In Delray

News

DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A woman who just turned 92-years-old was run over by her own vehicle this afternoon in Delray Beach and is now in critical condition at Delray Medical Center.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says Sylvia Gladstone of Boynton was pulling into a marked parking space on Victory Lane when she exited her vehicle to make sure she was properly in the spot.

Police say the gear shift was not fully in “park” and the car began rolling backward.

Gladstone was knocked over by the driver's door — which was open — and pushed to the ground. The car continued to roll, ultimately stopping with the left front tire on her body.
