Boca Fire Burns Home, Lightning Possibly To Blame

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A house fire was quickly doused by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue this afternoon as storms pummeled the area.

From Fire Rescue:

At 3:41 units responded to reports of a possible structure fire on the 19400 block of Carolina Cir. Callers stated they had the smell of smoke in the home. On arrival crews stated they had nothing showing and were investigating. Light smoke was found inside the home and on further investigation crews located several “hot spots” in the attic. The source of the smoke was located inside the attic and firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. There were reports of lighting in the area shortly before the call was received and it has not been ruled out as a possible cause.

The address is just South of Yawto and East of 441.
