BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — A motorcycle driver and a passenger are in area hospitals Monday night following a serious accident in the area of SW 18th Street and Powerline Road.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue tells BocaNewsNow.com that rescuers rushed to the scene when calls came in around 9:41 tonight. They found one motorcycle and two patients in the roadway.
One of the patients was injured so seriously that a trauma alert was declared. That patient was rushed to Delray Medical Center's Trauma Unit.
The second patient suffered lesser injuries and was taken to West Boca Medical Center.
Police are investigating the accident. It is unclear if other vehicles were involved.
