DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Lighthouse Point resident Preston Moody, 66, died this morning in a one car accident in Delray Beach. Police would like to know not only what happened, but why he was there as the sun was coming up.

Early this morning at around 4:55am, Delray Beach Police Traffic Homicide Investigators responded to 455 NE 5th Avenue to the scene of a one car crash involving a 2003 red Toyota Tundra pick up truck. Investigators found that the driver of the truck, 66 year old Preston Moody, was deceased. Preston Moody is believed to be from Lighthouse Point. It is unclear as to why he was in Delray Beach at the time of the crash. If there were any witnesses to the crash, anyone that may have spoken with Preston Moody prior to the crash or anyone with any information as to why Preston Moody was in Delray Beach, please contact Investigator Dan Cramer at 561-243-7800.
