BOCA RATON, FL ( — Boca Raton Community Middle School congratulates Mrs. Amy Finneran as she becomes Middle School Career and Technical Education Coordinator of the year for the School District of Palm Beach County.
School principal Peter T. Slack stated,˝ The school administration, the students and their families recognize and appreciate all of Mrs. Finneran hard work on a daily basis. It is always an honor when someone from BRCMS is recognized for their great work by the district. To highlight some of Mrs. Finneran accolades as the BRCMS Pre-Medical & Mathematics Academies Coordinator and a 6th & 7th Grade Pre-Medical Elective and Pre-Medical Science Teacher: Mrs. Finneran has had a tremendous impact on the overall success of our academies programs and our school through her hard work and dedication.
As our choice programs liaison with local elementary schools, Mrs. Finneran develops promotional materials, organizes fall choice programs open house, coordinates curriculum within the academies, and is the contact person for incoming and current academy students and families, all while teaching a full load.  Because BRCMS is not budgeted for an Academy Coordinator position, she does all of this on her time with no additional compensation.  As if that wasn’t enough to do, Mrs. Finneran started a HOSA – Health Occupations Students of America – chapter at our school.˝
