BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — We don’t know why the song “Send In The Clowns” is playing in our head as we read the arrest report, but we do know that Gina Anderson of West Palm Beach is facing a DUI charge following her arrest by Boca Raton Police.
Police arrested Anderson early Thursday morning and booked her into the Palm Beach County Jail. She was later released on her own recognizance.
Read part of the police report:
“Anderson stated that she had been at Blue Martini earlier in the evening and had her purse stolen from within. The on-duty manager showed me the surveillance footage which depicted Anderson leaving the bar with her purse at 0005 hours. The manager stated that she left the bar and entered her dark Chevrolet Sedan, and left the parking lot for about an hour. Upon her re-arrival at Blue Martini she caused a disturbance with the manager at the nightclub regarding the whereabouts of her purse. Anderson appeared intoxicated and was acting hostile with the staff at Blue Martini using obscenities towards the bouncer and manager. I explained to Anderson that she was observed on surveillance footage leaving the bar and proceeding towards the area of her vehicle with her purse under her right arm. I further explained that she should go home for the evening and when she sobers up in the morning to file a lost property report with Boca Raton Police Department. It should be noted that during my interaction with Anderson she had slurred speech, glassy eyes, was unstable of her feet and had an odor of alcohol emanating from her breath. Anderson stated she lived across the street and would walk home despite me offering to call a cab to driver her home.
Anderson then proceeded to walk towards her vehicle and enter the driver side door. I stopped Anderson and explained that she was clearly intoxicated and if she attempted to operate her vehicle I would arrest her for driving under the influence of alcohol. Anderson stated that she understood and proceeded to walk west towards Saint Andrews Blvd. I then observed Anderson stop int he parking lot and begin walking towards her car, attempting to conceal herself in the bushes and parked cars.”
Anderson, according to police, ultimately got in her car and tried to drive. She was charged with DUI.
