BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — It was six years ago today — with a post about an activity at a library — that BocaNewsNow.com was born. Since then, BocaNewsNow.com has become the undisputed leading hyper-local news website in South Palm Beach County, receiving millions of page views and being featured on news programs and other sites worldwide as the site of record when crazy happens here.
Even though it’s just a hobby, it’s a hobby that gets attention, initiates change, asks questions and dares to reveal the truth about life in our region. We promote the good, highlight the bad and most importantly raise awareness. In just the past year, we’ve outed criminals hiding in our region under assumed names, we’ve pushed restaurants to change smoking policies, we’ve documented bus drivers blabbing on phones while driving — leading to their firings.  Our BocaRudeton™ section — showcasing the rude amongst us — is one of the most popular sections we publish with each post read worldwide.
We challenge the status quo. We taunt elitism.
But we also can be serious. When a hurricane strikes, we are the go-to source…turning around press releases with official information as fast as they come in. We logged more than 250,000 page views during the week of Hurricane Irma.
Moving forward, we are thrilled to announce that hyper local is getting even more hyper and more local, with the BridgesBabbler.com coming online in the next few days focusing on two of the most promoted communities in the history of South Florida — Bridges and Seven Bridges — as well as the Woodfield Whisperer, CandidlyCanyons.com and the Boca West Review. You can emails us tips anytime at news (at) bocanewsnow.com.
Thanks for the past six years, Boca… we’re looking forward to humoring, reporting, exposing and causing more trouble for many years ahead!
