AT&T Upgrades Cell, Data At FAU Stadium

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Source: AT&T) —  When the FAU Owls take on the North Texas Mean Green this Saturday at FAU Stadium, fans will have a lot more to cheer about than just the game.
AT&T just completed a major network upgrade at the stadium. We added 51 antennas and 25,000 miles of cable to our Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to boost capacity by 200%. This means our network there can now handle more traffic and provide faster data speeds.
A DAS is made of numerous, small antennas that distribute AT&T wireless network coverage. It shortens the distance a call or text must travel. Calls, texts and posts are less likely to get stuck in a “traffic jam” of other calls, texts and posts.
