Car Stolen From Addison Reserve, Keys Left In Car

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Darwinism continues to be alive in well in West Delray where another homeowner has left keys in a car, only to find out that it’s been stolen.

The latest event occurred in Addison Reserve. Here’s the police log entry:

PBSO DEPUTY RESPONDED TO ADDISON RESERVE REF TO A VEHICLE RUNNING THROUGH THE GATE POST AND LEAVING THE SCENE. SECURITY REVIEWED THE VIDEO AND WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH A TAG “ILIB19”. DEPUTY WENT TO THE REGISTERED OWNERS ADDRESS AND SPOKE WITH THE VICTIMWHO CONFIRMED HIS VEHICLE HAD BEEN STOLEN WHEN HE WAS ASLEEP.

THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON THE DRIVEWAY AND THE KEYS WERE INSIDE THE CENTER CONSOLE. JUST SOUTH OF THIS ADDRESS THERE WAS A VEHICLE WHICH WAS BURGLARIZED. NO TRACKING DEVICE INSTALLED ON THE VEHICLE. THE VICTIM COMPLETED A VEHICLE THEFT AFFIDAVIT.
