Currently, we are strongly discouraging any visitors during this time. Instead, please call, text or Facetime your loved one if possible. Every visitor that steps through our doors has the potential to spread germs that cause illness to our residents and valued staff.
Please be aware that visitors are no longer allowed to eat with residents in the resident dining rooms (unless they are providing feeding assistance to a resident in absence of a private duty aide). If a visitor wants to have a meal with a resident, room service will be provided in the resident’s suite/apartment. In addition, visitors are not allowed to join a resident in any group activity. All visitors must visit in the resident’s private suite or apartment and not in the public areas of the community.
In addition, we have put into place the following proactive measures:1. Multiple communications have been provided to staff regarding our community’s policies and procedures specifically addressing Coronavirus.2. Handwashing in-services and reminders are being provided for staff.3. The temperature of each resident is being taken every shift, every day. 4. Environmental Services has implemented enhanced disinfection rounds of surfaces throughout the Health Center including doorknobs, handrails, tables, chairs, elevator buttons, bed rails, etc. 5. Tours of the Health Center have been discontinued and any prospective admission is being screened using the same set of screening questions prior to admission.6. Comingling of residents from different levels of care for activities has been discontinued. Activities will be held within each level of care for those residents only.7. All entertainers and vendors are being screened using the same protocol as visitors and employees before being granted entry to the community. 8. If a resident exhibits any signs or symptoms of illness, they will be immediately quarantined in their suite/apartment (meals in suite/apartment and no visitors) until further notice.
