Coronavirus News

BOCA RATON, FL ( — Twisters gymnastics locations in Boca Raton and Coconut Creek are closing until further notice. It is the first — but presumably not the only — child-geared activity center to shut its doors in the Boca Raton, Delray Beach areas while Coronavirus plays out.

From Twisters:

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak across the globe, and the growing number of cases in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, we made the decision to pause operations at our gymnastics facilities in Boca Raton and Coconut Creek beginning Monday, March 16th. We are automatically adding makeup days to every member’s account for the duration of this pause and will handle the scheduling of all individual makeups and other administrative challenges once we resume operations.

This pause is for all programs including preschool and grade school recreational classes, open gyms, clinics, birthday parties and team practices.

Twisters has made the decision out of an abundance of caution and to help protect our member families, guests, and staff. Our goal is to be part of the solution in our local community by helping limit social contact, thereby helping reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please check our website and social media frequently for updates on when we will resume operations, as it is possible for Twisters to resume our programing before the local school systems reopen.

During this pause, Twisters’ staff and professional cleaning crew will perform a deep clean of both facilities. Twisters will continue to pay and offer benefits to our valued staff during this time without requiring them to use vacation or sick time.

We will continue to carefully monitor and reassess the situation, and provide another update by Thursday, March 19th.

We appreciate your continued support during this difficult time and look forward to welcoming you back to Twisters in the near future.
