SATURDAY NIGHT KEVIN FARLEY SHOW IS CANCELLED

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The performance venue “Boca Black Box” announced Monday that it planned to open for a Kevin Farley performance Saturday night. But hours after BocaNewsNow.com published the website announcement — and then reached out to Kevin Farley’s representatives — Farley’s representatives announced the show is off.
“I was just informed by Black Box that the show is canceled because it’s a violation of Palm Beach County Executive orders” said Cindy Collins, Kevin Farley’s spokesperson.
Black Box listed a series of COVID-19 prevention measures it planned to take Saturday night, including an audience limit of 100 people, mandatory temperature checks and heavy duty cleaning. But theaters are still prohibited from opening in Palm Beach County, and due to language on its own website, Black Box can’t claim to be a restaurant operating at 50 percent capacity.
“We do not have a kitchen,” states the Black Box website, “so our food consists primarily of gourmet snacks and pastries. Our bar serves beer, wine and speciality cocktails.”
Under the plan, Black Box planned to sell less than half of the 250 seats in the venue, but this photo — from Black Box — raised questions about how social distancing could be achieved.

No word if the Kevin Farley performance will be rescheduled.
