New Option For Filing Police Reports, Not A 9-1-1 Replacement

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — We want to start by making this clear: if you need police right now, call 9-1-1. If you are being victimized, attacked, watching something bad or violent, don’t wait — call 9-1-1.
That being said: the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office just made it easier to file police reports without needing to see a Deputy or travel to a substation.
PBSO is now accepting reports via ZOOM!
Among the reports that you can file: burglary, grand theft, hit and run, trash dumping, disturbance, civil matters, petty theft, traffic crash (late reporting). While many of these reports can be filed online if you don’t mind typing, (online filing link), you can now request to speak with an in-take officer live.
Send an email to alternateresponseunit@pbso.org. Give them just enough information to know the nature of your report. They will respond with a Zoom request so you can video chat your police report directly to a Deputy, Dispatcher or reporting officer.
