NOTABLE DECLINE IN PALM BEACH COUNTY HOSPITAL ICU, ISOLATION BED COUNT

Boca Raton News

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — There has been another notable drop in ICU and “isolation bed” availability in Palm Beach County. With more than 100 ICU beds available just a few days ago, Palm Beach County — as a whole — now has 83 ICU beds available as of 7:15 Thursday morning.

Four hospitals in Palm Beach County have no ICU beds available.

The realtime data comes from the Florida Community Coronavirus Dashboard created by Rebekah Jones. She was Florida’s lead data scientist until she was fired by Gov. Ron DeSantis for “not following orders.” Jones said the order was to suppress data. She has raised more than $100,000 for her “dashboard” which uses data streams directly from the hospitals.
