BLACK BOX APPARENTLY INTENDED TO OFFER IN-PERSON SEATING BEFORE BOCANEWSNOW COVERAGE, COUNTY WARNING. IN-PERSON TICKETS PROMOTED AS RECENTLY AS WEDNESDAY.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Boca Black Box, the performing arts venue on Glades Road in Boca Raton, apparently decided at the last minute to go “virtual only” for its “Sarge” performance set for Thursday night.

As BocaNewsNow.com has been reporting for days, “Boca Black Box” was advertising a live in person as well as “streaming” performance featuring “Sarge,” a comedian and musician. Black Box went so far to advise those buying tickets that the show would be limited to 100 guests. The venue also promoted that masks would only be required while walking to seats — a blatant violation of Palm Beach County executive orders.

Thursday night, Palm Beach County officials told BocaNewsNow.com that Black Box was issued a “written warning” in advance of show time and that no in-person performance was taking place.

Black Box management did not respond to multiple requests from comment from BocaNewsNow.com over several day. Tickets for the “in person” performance were offered at a higher price point than the virtual performance.
