BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Palm Beach County School Board Member Debra Robinson, M.D., the only medical doctor on the Board, is calling for a more comprehensive “dashboard” reporting the COVID-19 situation in the school district. Dr. Robinson, one of the most outspoken board members expressing concern over the school district’s COVID-19 plan, wants hyper-specific data to be released.

Roughly one third of the school district’s 180,000 students have returned for “in person” learning, the remaining two thirds continue learning remotely.

1. Hospital capacity for ICU’s for Palm Beach County;

2. Hospital capacity for general medical for Palm Beach County;

3. Total positive test percentage for Palm Beach County;

4. Influenza-like Illness (ILI) downward trend for Palm Beach County;

5. COVID19-like Illness (CLI) downward trend for Palm Beach County;

6. Daily lab positivity (total positive tests reported/total tests done) for Palm Beach County;

7. Student absenteeism – school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high);

8. Staff absenteeism – school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high);

9. Reported positive cases – school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high);

(If we can get this weekly testing done, we can have real data that included reported positive tests done on campus/ total tests done on campus.)

10. Number of students that can be held at 6 feet distancing (static number). Use all available space instead of only traditional classroom space, school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high);

11. Number enrolled for face-to-face, school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high);

12. Percent utilization at 6 feet distancing, school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high)

13. Number of students that can be held at 3 feet distancing (static number), school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high); and

14. Percent utilization at 3 feet distancing-school-by-school, as well as by level (elementary, middle, high).
