Update Still Omits Details Of Whispering Pines Elementary First Grader, Morikami Park Elementary Kindergarten Student
BREAKING: Fourth Case Just Reported At Whispering Pines Elementary School as of 3:30 PM Wednesday, October 14th 2020.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Continued questions posed by BocaNewsNow.com about the accuracy of the Palm Beach County School District COVID-19 dashboard apparently led to a major update Wednesday afternoon, but the update still omits high profile cases in South Palm Beach County.
The dashboard, which states “data is updated nightly at 11:30 p.m.” hadn’t been updated in days before BocaNewsNow.com exposed multiple cases of COVID-19 that were seemingly being hidden by the school district. Even now, cases at Whispering Pines Elementary involving a first grader, Morikami Park Elementary involving a child in Kindergarten, and Boca Raton Community High School are NOT on the dashboard. It is unclear why the school district is withholding that information.
Separately, a school district spokesperson disputed a BocaNewsNow.com report that the school system’s lawyers told school principals not to tell parents of students who may have been in class with an infected student or teacher. But the school district isn’t explaining why the parents of several children at Whispering Pines Elementary School in West Boca Raton were not told that a classmate had tested positive for COVID-19. The first grader’s mother took it upon herself to tell parents that their children may have come into contact with her son.
Here is the current list of infections in Palm Beach County. Again, we do not believe this list is accurate — it omits several positive cases confirmed to BocaNewsNow.com.
