Larry Klayman Claims Libel, Slander. Read Entire Suit.
BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — Larry Klayman, a Boca Raton resident and attorney who is identified by Wikipedia as “an American right-wing activist lawyer and former U.S. Justice Department prosecutor,” is suing popular online political website POLITICO, claiming libel and slander.
In the suit, filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, Klayman writes: “On or about September 6, 2020, Defendants, acting in concert and conspiring with Bar officials of the District of Columbia, all of whom are of the same political ideology as Defendants, published a false, misleading, deceptive, and defamatory article, with actual and constitutional malice, about Plaintiff which was intentionally and maliciously intended to severely harm not just Mr. Klayman’s personal and professional reputations but also to severely harm his public interest advocacy as the founder of both Judicial Watch, Inc., and now Freedom Watch, Inc., both ethics organizations whose mission is to promote and protect ethics in government and the legal system as a whole.”
Klayman writes this about Politico and reporter Josh Gerstein, also named in the suit.
“Defendant Politico is “prominent” leftist publication that publishes and does substantial business in this circuit, where it reaps financial benefits and profits, as well as nationally and internationally. It is widely known to be anti-conservative and pro-Democrat party in ideology.”
“Defendant Gerstein is the ‘premier’ legal reporter for Politico and is a dyed in the wool leftist, Democrat, a strong advocate of Democrat causes, an avid supporter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, and is anti-conservative in his ideology and reporting. He is also of the Jewish left and on information and belief dislikes Plaintiff for his political ideology which is conservative and pro-Donald Trump, in addition to Mr. Klayman being a messianic Jewish-Christian, pro-Israel and a Zionist. Like African Americans who are conservative, the left generally despises Jews who are conservative.”
Again, this is language directly from the lawsuit which you can read below in its entirety. We note — for our readers who enjoy television more than politics — that on page 12 of the suit, Klayman writes that a character in an episode of “The West Wing” is based on his high-profile political and litigious persona.
