Situation Again Worsening In Palm Beach County, Broward County, Miami-Dade.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — The number of people hospitalized in Palm Beach County with a “primary diagnosis of COVID-19” continues to rise. After several days in the 200s, the number has now climbed to 303 as of 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. The data is supplied by the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.
The rise mirrors similar rises in neighboring Broward County and Miami-Dade County. In Broward, 514 people are currently hospitalized for COVID-19. In Miami-Dade, 1,003 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
The ICU count in Palm Beach County is better than it has been, but the death count and general hospitalization counts continue to rise. The takeaway: ICU populations decrease as people die or are moved into non-ICU hospital beds. In Palm Beach County, 31.09 percent of ICU beds are available early Tuesday morning. The availability is 17.02 percent in Broward and 16.18 percent in Miami-Dade.

In all of Palm Beach County, 2,828 hospital beds are in use for COVID and non-COVID issues, while 1,168 remain available. Statewide, 46,871 hospital beds are in use early Tuesday morning with 14,160 available.
