BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — It turns out the man who police say admitted to stabbing both of his sisters — leaving them for dead — is a UFC Fighter.

Irwing Rivera, as we reported yesterday, allegedly attempted to kill both of his sisters in his Boynton Beach apartment. Rivera was later apprehended by police in Delray Beach.

We are republishing the arrest report — as we reported it yesterday. Irwing is listed by Wikipedia as a Mexican-born mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.

[THIS IS THE NARRATIVE FROM POLICE] Officers responded in response to multiple 911 calls in reference to a stabbing Upon arrival, Officers found a 22 year old woman lying adjacent to the roadway covered in blood with multiple wounds throughout her back, head and arm. When asked what happened the victim stated that her brother had stabbed her and her sister was still in the house. The woman was trauma alerted to Delray Medical Center with two collapsed lungs.

Officers then found a 33 year old woman in the residence also covered in blood with multiple wounds throughout the back, face, arms and hands.

The victims stated they had come to visit their brother Irwing Rivera at his residence, spending the night in his spare room. They advised that they awoke with Irwing repeatedly stabbing them with a knife. One attempted to fight Irwing off as he continued to stab her.

On scene, I (the officer writing the narrative) made contact with neighbors who provided statements advising that they had been awakened by a loud banging at their front door to find a female covered in blood pleading for help stating “HE’S TRYING TO KILL ME, PLEASE HELP MY SISTER.” The witness stated that they opened the door calling police when they saw their neighbor Irwing walk by also covered in apparent blood who tole them to “SHUT THE DOOR” and “EVERYTHING IS OKAY.”

One witness stated that they saw Irwing running east bound towards Federal Highway.

At approximately 7 a.m., Delray Beach Police made contact with him where upon making contact Irwing spontaneously uttered, “I killed my sisters.”

In a sworn, taped interview, Irwing admitted to stabbing both of his sisters. Irwing said that when he entered his sister’s bedroom while they were sleeping and began stabbing them with a brass knuckle knife. Irwing believed that he killed both of his sisters and said that he did so because it was his purpose which he was told to by a higher power.

[NARRATIVE ENDS]

Rivera was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail just after midnight on January 7th. He remains held without bond.
