BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Source: Boca Raton Fire Rescue VERBATIM) –Boca Raton Firefighters responded to fire in a laundry mat inside a warehouse located at 169 NW 16th Street, Boca Raton. The fire was called in by a neighboring business owner who saw the smoke and flames.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and fire coming from the roof of the structure. Upon making entry to the building the crews quickly located and extinguished the fire that was isolated to mostly the rear of the occupancy. There was extensive heat and smoke damage throughout the business, estimated at close to $1M. The property has been deemed and Unsafe Structure by City Code Enforcement due to the extent of the damage.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire was possibly electrical in nature but is still under investigation.
