BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) — State data released by the Florida Department of Health reveals that those receiving shots in Palm Beach County are overwhelmingly white and most likely in the 65-74 age group.

The official state data includes “first dose,” “series complete” and “total people vaccinated.” We note the “total people vaccinated” is the total number of people who have received at least one shot, but not the number of people who are completely vaccinated. That is the “series complete” number.

By the numbers, 17,573 people age 85 and older have received a first dose, while 5,477 have a complete series. A total of 23,050 in this age group have received shots.

In age group 75-84: 42,933 people have received the first dose with 11,591 receiving a complete series. The age group total is 54,584.

In age group 65-74: 57,569 people have received one shot, with 15,273 receiving a complete series. The age group total is 72,842.

In age group 55-64: 7,024 have received one shot with 6,544 receiving a complete series. 13,568 have received shots.

In age group 45-54: 3,812 have received one shot with 5,238 receiving a complete series. The total people vaccinated is 9,050.

In age group 35-44: 2,732 people have received one shot with 3,970 receiving a complete series. A total of 6,702 people have been vaccinated.

In age group 25-34: 2,112 have received one shot while 2,711 have received a complete series. A total of 4,823 have been vaccinated.

In age group 16-24: 790 people have received the first dose with 628 receiving a complete series. The total people vaccinated in this age group is 1,418.

By race: for this who identify as “White,” 87,411 have received a first dose with 33,896 receiving a complete series. The total count of those who identify as “White” receiving a shot is 186,0373.

For those who identify as “Black” in Palm Beach County, 3,241 have received a first dose with 1,960 receiving a complete series. A total of 5,201 people who identify as “Black” in Palm Beach County have been vaccinated.

For those who identify as American Indian/Alaskan: 496 have received a first dose, 116 a complete series, with a total of 612 vaccinated.

For those who identify as “Other:” The first dose total is 12,659, the “series complete” total is 7,384, and the “total people vaccinated” total is 20,043.

For those who are listed as “unknown:” The first dose total 30,798, the series complete total is 8,076, and the total people vaccinated in the “unknown” category is 38,874.

This data is accurate as of February 6th, the most recent report issued by the State of Florida as the publishing time of this article.
