Adds More Than 1,000 Since Winter Break

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County School District is seemingly in the midst of a COVID-19 surge, with more than 1,000 cases being added since winter break just six weeks ago.

The total, cumulative count as of early Monday morning is 2,394 COVID-19 cases. While that number includes cases that date back to late September, the notable number is 1,126. That’s the total number of cases added since 2021 began — just a month and a half ago. To put it in perspective, more than half of the Palm Beach County School District’s COVID-19 cases have been logged since January 1st.
In South Palm Beach as of 5:34 a.m. Monday:

Morikami Park Elementary reports 14 COVID-19 cases.
Olympic Heights Community High reports 29 COVID-19 cases.

Polo Park Middle reports 25 COVID-19 cases.
