Told Police She Had No Money To Pay For Makeup, Clothing.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) (News App readers click here for full report) — A woman who claims to be visiting from Saudi Arabia was captured on surveillance cameras stealing from Macy’s at Town Center Mall in Boca Raton.
Nora Bashar Nazem Al-Sadfadi, according to a police report, stole makeup and clothing from the store. She was arrested and jailed.
Wrote the investigating officer: “The loss prevention officer at Macy’s stated that Nora had selected several items from the makeup section and was holding them in her hand. Nora continued to walk around the store and selected a dress and placed it over the make up in her hand. (The loss prevention officer) advised that it appeared Nora was manipulating the makeup under the dress. Nora then put the dress back and there was no makeup in her hand. The makeup was later found in her yellow Forever 21 bag.”
The report continues: “Nora then selected multiple sleepwear items and walked to the fitting room. The fitting room had been preswept and there was nothing inside. Nora entered the fitting room and exited a few minutes later. Nora replaced some items on the rack and left. The fitting room was swept again and there were no items left inside. Nora left out of the glade exit. She passed all points of sale and did not make any attempt to pay for the items. The loss prevention officer advised that all the items were found in her yellow Forever 21 bag.”
The Boca Raton Police officer then spoke with Nora who, according to the report, stated that she is visiting Boca Raton from Saudi Arabia and is returning next week.
“Nora stated that she came to Macy’s and selected makeup items and concealed them in her Forever 21 bag. Nora stated that she then selected sleepwear items and went into the fitting room. Nora said she tried on the items and found the ones that fit her. She said she placed the items in her Forever 21 bag and replaced the other items onto the rack again. Nora said she left the store without paying and passed all points of sale. Nora said she did it because she did not have the money to pay.”
Nora Bashar Nazem Al-Safadi was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on a retail theft charge. She was later released on her own recognizance. The jail lists the 20800 block of Via Madeira in Boca as her local address.
