BOCA RATON, FL ( (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A number unimaginable one year ago is days away from reality. The Palm Beach County School District will likely cross the 3000 COVID-19 case mark by the middle of next week.

As of Thursday morning, 2,926 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the school system since in-person options started in late September. More than half — 1,658 — have been recorded since January of this year. The numbers continue to hold steady with several new cases added each day.
