Largest Demographic: Overwhelmingly White, 65-74 Years Of Age

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Roughly 14 percent of Palm Beach County’s population is now vaccinated for COVID-19, according to numbers released by the Florida Department of Health. While it’s too soon to declare these shot recipients “completely vaccinated,” they are listed as “series complete” in official state guidance.

By the numbers: 222,294 people have received a “complete series” of shots. That means either two Moderna shots or two Pfizer shots, or one Johnson and Johnson injection. Palm Beach County’s population is roughly 1.49 million.
The age group breakdown reported by the DOH shows the largest group receiving the vaccine in Palm Beach County the 65-74 age group.
Here are the official numbers:
16-24 years of age: 1,609 complete series of shots.
25-34 years of age: 5,313 complete series of shots.
35-44 years of age: 7,414 complete series of shots.
45-54 years of age: 10,219 complete series of shots.
55-64 years of age: 15,943 complete series of shots.
65-74 years of age: 89,839 complete series of shots.
75-84 years of age: 65,462 complete series of shots.
85+ years of age: 26,495 complete series of shots.
By race:
152,421 people in Palm Beach County who identify as White have received a complete series of shots.
8,498 people in Palm Beach County who identify as Black have received a complete series of shots.
By gender: 129,529 people in Palm Beach County who identify as female have received a complete series of shots.
92,691 people in Palm Beach County who identify as male have received a complete series of shots.
