Hold Times Over An Hour For Airlines Experiencing Web Issues.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you are trying to book a flight on any airline that apparently uses the reservation system that’s overseen by Google, you’re going to find that “no flights” exist.

ITA, which is basically the “back end” for booking sites run by American Airlines, Delta, United and others, is down, according to DownDetector.com — a website that tracks inoperable websites in real time.

The current outage appears to be affecting portions of Google as well.

Anyone searching for a flight on the Delta, American or United website is likely to see a version of a message telling them hat no flights exist.

While flights do exist, you just can’t access them.

It’s unclear if booking on another website will solve the problem — there’s always the possibility that your reservation booked on a third party site won’t make it into the airline’s computer system. Proceed with caution. We tried the American Express travel website for a sample booking on American. While flights were visible, seats were not.

The downed websites are now leading to extensive call hold times. It’s a major problem for Delta following the cancellation of 100 flights on Sunday.
