Victoria Boettcher was charged with one count of DUI. Police say her blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit in one of three tests administered once she was in custody.

According to a police report, “Delray Beach PD dispatch received a 911 caller / witness who reported a (white female) driving a red corvette. (She was) swerving in and out of traffic and almost hit a house.  The caller / witness advised the vehicle then came to a completed stop at a home that was currently under construction located at 707 N Ocean Blvd. (Police) responded and conducted a traffic stop at the location listed above.  I responded to the scene to conduct a DUI investigation.  Upon arrival, I made contact with a white female who was the driver and the sole occupant of the red corvette and later identified as Victoria Boettcher by her FL driver license.”

The investigator office wrote that he noted a strong smell of an unknown alcoholic beverage.

“The driver Victoria Boettcher was sitting inside of her vehicle and had the odor of an unknown alcoholic beverage emanating from her person.  Boettcher appeared impaired, had glassy eyes, slow dexterity, slow comprehension, and was unstable while standing when she exited the vehicle to perform roadside task.”

Added the officer:

“Boettcher advised she was the sole occupant and the driver of the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.  Boettcher also advised she had a couple drinks and stated she is currently in a depressed state of mind.  During my encounter with Boettcher she was unable to recall the events leading up to the traffic stop.”

After allegedly failing the field sobriety tests, Boettcher was transported to a DUI testing facility where police say her breath alcohol tested at .166, .134 and .145. The legal limit is .08.

Boettcher, of the 800 block of Broken Sound Parkway in Boca Raton, was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail early Sunday. She was released on her own recognizance mid-afternoon. A court date is pending.
