BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Florida Department of Transportation is planning for a significant amount of roadwork over the next week, ranging from I-95 closures to 441 construction. Clint Moore Road is also going to have its own challenges for motorists.
There is a lot of information below. Among the major projects:
I-95 at Palmetto Park Road
I-95 will have three lanes closed in each direction nightly, as needed, Sunday through Thursday nights, with the first lane closing at 9:30 p.m., the second lane closing at 10:30 p.m., and the third lane closing at 11:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m.
Advanced Notice: I-95 southbound, from south of Palmetto Park Road to Hillsboro Blvd, will have three inside lanes closed overnight, 11 p.m., Friday night, June 4 until 9 a.m., Saturday morning, June 5, for paving and pavement marking activities.
Advanced Notice: I-95 southbound, from south of Palmetto Park Road to Hillsboro Blvd, will have two inside lanes closed overnight, 10 p.m., Saturday night, June 5 until 9 a.m., Sunday morning, June 6 for tubular marker installation and pavement marking activities.
Arterial Road Impact:
Palmetto Park Road at I-95 will have two lanes closed in each direction nightly, as needed, Sunday through Thursday. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., and the second lane will close at 10:30 p.m. All lanes will be opened by 5:30 a.m.
Palmetto Park Road at I-95 will have one lane closed in each direction daily, as needed, 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Camino Real at I-95 will have one lane closed in each direction daily, as needed, 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Ramp Impact:
The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via I-95 southbound, Hillsboro Boulevard, Military Trail and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and Hillsboro Boulevard. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and Hillsboro Boulevard. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The northbound entrance ramp from eastbound and westbound Palmetto Park Road will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 southbound to Hillsboro Boulevard to I-95 northbound.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Hillsboro Blvd, Military Trail and SW 10th Street. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Hillsboro Boulevard will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Military Trail and SW 10th Street. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound exit ramp to SW 10th Street will be closed nightly, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Motorists will be detoured via Hillsboro Blvd and Military Trail. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
I-95 At Glades Road
I-95 will have up to four lanes closed in each direction nightly as needed for paving, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 9:30 p.m., and the third and fourth lane will close at 10 p.m.
I-95 Southbound from Spanish River to Glades Rd will be in a new traffic pattern with traffic shifted to the outside to allow for median construction. This configuration is anticipated to be in place through summer 2021.
I-95 northbound from Yamato Road to Linton Boulevard is in a new traffic pattern with traffic shifted to the outside to allow for median construction. This configuration is anticipated to be in place through summer 2021.
I-95 Southbound Full Closure Notice: I-95 southbound lanes at Congress Avenue will be closed to traffic overnight, Sunday May 23 and Monday, May 24 so that crews can safely demolish the Clint Moore Road bridge over I-95 southbound lanes. The first lane will close at 9 p.m., the second lane will close at 9:30 p.m., and all lanes will be closed by 10 p.m., reopening by 5:30 a.m. each morning. Traffic will be detoured via the I-95 southbound exit ramp to Congress Avenue, Peninsula Corp. Drive, Congress Avenue and Yamato Road. The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from Peninsula Corp. Drive will also be closed during this activity. May 25-27 will be used as contingency nights if needed. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Please see detour flyer attached.
Westbound Glades Road, between NW 22nd Way and West University Drive, is in a new traffic pattern with traffic shifted inside towards the median to allow for outside widening.
Westbound Glades Road, between NW 22nd Way and West University Drive, will have one lane closed daily, 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Westbound Glades Road, between NW 22nd Way and West University Drive, will have one lane closed nightly at 9 p.m. and two lanes closed at 10 p.m., until 6 a.m., Sunday through Saturday.
Clint Moore Road Impact:
The Clint Moore Road bridge over I-95 is closed completely for reconstruction through summer 2022. Westbound traffic is being detoured via NW 2ndAvenue, Yamato Road and Congress Avenue. Eastbound traffic is beingdetoured via Park of Commerce Boulevard, Congress Avenue, Yamato Road and NW 2nd Avenue. Local neighborhood access is maintained; only the approaches and bridge over I-95 are closed.

The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from Congress Avenue and Peninsula Corp. Drive will be closed nightly as needed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via I-95 and Yamato Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.

The I-95 northbound entrance ramp from eastbound Glades Road will be closed nightly as needed,11 p.m. until 5 am., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Glades Road east, N. Federal Highway and Yamato Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 northbound exit ramp to Yamato Road will be closed nightly as needed, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue, Peninsula Corp Drive, Congress Avenue and Yamato Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from westbound Glades Road will be closed nightly as needed, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Glades Road west, Powerline Road and Palmetto Park Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from eastbound Yamato Road/Spanish River Boulevard will be closed nightly as needed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. Traffic will be detoured via Yamato Road east, Federal Highway/U.S. 1 south and Glades Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.
The I-95 southbound entrance ramp from Peninsula Corp Drive will be closed nightly as needed, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Wednesday. Traffic will be detoured via Congress Avenue and Yamato Road. FHP will be on site to assist motorists. Consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
State Road 7/U.S. 441 Repaving
One lane may be closed in each direction as needed, daily, 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., and nightly, 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday night through Saturday.
NE 5th Avenue Sidewalk Improvements In City of Boca Raton
The southbound lane may be closed, intermittently, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, for construction activities such as concrete pouring for new sidewalk installation. During this time, a flagging operation will be used to direct traffic northbound and southbound.
The contractor is expected to work within one block at a time. The contractor is performing sod restoration as needed from Boca Raton Road to NE 10thStreet. Work will take place from NE 15th Terrace to US 1 for the remainder of May. Please note the contractor may move between these blocks as needed. If the sidewalk needs to be closed within one block, a pedestrian detour will be in place with signage.
The driveway access to the Dollar Tree Center on the west side of NE 5thAve., just north of NE 16th Street, may be closed Monday, May 24 for construction activities. Work is expected to take one day, but should inclement weather delay operations, work will continue the following day(s) until fully completed.
