PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Palm Beach County woman allegedly took to Google and Yelp to slander an area MedSpa, then had her family and friends — who were never patients — also post negative reviews.
But now the MedSpa is fighting back, saying Sandra Mackey was unhappy with her repeated Botox injections because what she really needed was a skin care provider who might have better luck with her issues.
Galiderm Aestethics LLC, and owner Gigdem Gali — a licensed Physician’s Assistant — is now suing Mackey in Palm Beach County circuit court for libel and slander.
From the suit:
“On or about August 6, 2020, Defendant Sandra Mackey retained the services of Galiderm to administer Botox injections on or about her forehead area and crow’s feet area of her eyes. Defendant Sandra Mackey had a follow-up appointment on or about August 19, 2020. On or about September 3, 2020, Defendant Sandra Mackey came back to Galiderm to have Botox injections administered to her under-eye area. On October 16, 2020 and on November 10, 2020, Defendant Sandra Mackey came back to Galiderm to have Botox injections administered to her forehead area and crow’s feet eye area.”
Here’s a key part of the suit:
“The services performed by Galiderm upon Defendant Sandra Mackey on October 16, 2020 and November 10, 2020 were done to Defendant Sandra Mackey after she had voiced complaints to Galiderm about the lack fo effectiveness of her earlier Botox injections from August 6, 2020. Galiderm did not charge Mackey for any of the services performed on her on October 16 and on November 10th. After a careful review of the patient’s medical history and cosmetic work, Physician Assistant Gali recommended to Defendant Sandra Mackey that she utilize the services of other skin care specialists and provided several to her.”
But that wasn’t enough. According to the suit, Mackey continued to complain, then engaged in online defamation — allegedly using the screen name “just4theprincess.”
Read the entire suit, below. It includes the posts allegedly made by Mackey, her husband, family and friends. Galiderm is represented by Attorney Ron Rice in Boca Raton.
