BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — South County Regional Park is set to host a “drive-in” fireworks show on Sunday, July 4th — where the goal is for most people to stay in the COVID-safe confines of their vehicle, while enjoying a fireworks display that wasn’t possible last year due to the pandemic.

While the “stay in the your car” is a strong suggestion but not a legally enforceable requirement, the point is clear: the return to a group July 4th celebration will not be the same as pre-COVID times.

South County Regional Park is located at 11200 Park Access Road, Boca Raton, FL 33498.

This is the official language announcing the Sunday event:

The Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and The West Boca Community Council will host a 4th of July Drive-in Fireworks Display at Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park, Boca Raton. The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m. Overflow parking lots adjacent to Sunset Cove Amphitheater will open at 7:00 p.m. to allow attendees to park their vehicles for viewing.
