Restaurant Inspected Multiple Times Over Three Days, Problems Persisted.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A popular Boca Raton eatery has been cited by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for multiple health code violations. The bad marks resulted several follow-up inspections over just a few days.

The Dubliner, at 435 Plaza Real in Boca Raton was cited on July 7th. Health officials reinspected the restaurant later that day, twice on the 8th and then again on July 9th. The restaurant was ultimately declared fine, with a “met inspection standards” inspection result.

On the 7th and 8th, however, the inspector ordered the restaurant to be re-inspected.

These are the issues from the first inspection on July 7th:

High Priority – Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, food storage area and/or bar area. Observed approximately 20+ small flying insects hovering and landing in dry storage area next to walk-in cooler and dish machine. Observed approximately 8 small flying insects landing on walls and sink of hand wash sink next to dish machine. Observed 1 small flying insect near bathroom hallway. **Admin Complaint**

High Priority – Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. butter (60°F – Cold Holding) Observed near cookline. Chef states less than 4 hours. Observed butter doubled panned in ice bath, operator removed 2nd pan and filled ice up the sides of the pan. **Corrective Action Taken** **Warning**Intermediate – Food manager certification expired. Basic – Employee personal items stored in or above a food preparation area, food, clean equipment and utensils, or single-service items. Observed employee phone on cutting board. Operator removed. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**

Basic – Ceiling/ceiling tile shows damage or is in disrepair. Observed hole in ceiling tile in dishwasher area. **Warning**

Basic – Ceiling tile missing. Observed near left of walk-in cooler.

**Warning**Basic – Bowl or other container with no handle used to dispense food. Observed a bowl in sugar and flour. Operator removed bowl. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
