BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is facing serious charges after allegedly throwing a glass at a waitress at Packy’s Bar in West Boca Raton.
Kevin Therrell of the 11500 block of Whisper Sound in Boca Raton was allegedly annoyed that he wasn’t served enough alcohol when he apparently decided to attack the waitress. He is now charged with “Shooting into or throwing deadly missiles into dwellings” and “battery,” according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
This is the narrative of events written by the responding PBSO Deputy:
“On August 10th, 2021 at approximately 1813 hours, while on uniformed patrol in a marked Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) Patrol Vehicle, I responded to 11379 Palmetto Park Rd “Packy’s Sports Grill”, Boca Raton, FL 33428 in unincorporated Boca Raton in reference to a disturbance.
Upon arrival, I met with a white male who was described through dispatch as wearing white pants and holding a blue shirt walking north on N Ponderosa Rd, leaving the above stated address just moments earlier. The white male was identified through his FL D.L as Kevin Therrell who was rambling about only having one drink at the bar and getting into an argument with his waitress.
Therrell was loud, rude and refused to listen while deputies were talking.
(A waitress) said (Therrell) was rudely trying to get her attention from her by shouting and cursing and when she did not respond he only got louder. She advised him to get away from her several times and he started to yell back. The owner went to go speak with the customer to clam him down and then he threw a pint glass at her, hitting her shoulder.
The Manager completed a PBSO Sworn Statement as a witness to the event, matching the exact description (of the suspect).
I determined Probable Cause Exists to Arrest Kevin Therrell for throwing a hard substance which would produce great bodily harm within a private building, with the intent to hit (the waitress) with the item. The charges are as follow (FSS 790.19) Shooting into or throwing deadly missiles into dwellings and (FSs 784.03 (1) (a) (1) Battery.”
Therrell was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on August 10th and later released nearly a full day later. A court date is pending.
