Now 4,353 COVID-19 Cases In Palm Beach County School District.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County School District added 226 student cases and 34 employee cases to the COVID count on Wednesday. It’s not a record for one day, but is one of the largest single-day case counts added to the total this year.
As Thursday morning gets underway, the Palm Beach County School District reports 4,353 total COVID-19 cases for the school year which is barely five weeks underway. The count already bested last year’s total case count. It took a full school year to reach 3,855 cases.
Among the notable schools and case counts early Thursday:
Addison Mizner Elementary: 50 students and 5 employees.
Boca Raton High: 91 students and 8 employees.
Boca Raton Middle: 45 students and 2 employees.
Calusa Elementary: 46 students and 3 employees.
Coral Reef Elementary: 68 students and 3 employees.
Don Estridge High Tech Middle: 29 students and 3 employees.
Eagles Landing Middle: 21 students and 2 employees.
John I Leonard High: 80 students and 9 employees.
Jupiter High: 103 students and 12 employees.
Jupiter Middle: 51 students and 8 employees.
Loggers Run Middle: 36 students and 4 employees.
Manatee Community Elementary: 59 students and 9 employees.
Olympic Heights High: 50 students and 3 employees.
Omni Middle: 23 students and 4 employees.
Polo Park Middle: 49 students and 1 employee.
Spanish River High: 35 students.
Sunrise Park Elementary: 32 students.
Verde K-8: 46 students and 4 employees.
Wellington High: 94 students and 5 employees.
West Boca Raton Community High: 33 students and 5 employees.
Whispering Pines Elementary: 14 students and no employees.
William T. Dwyer High: 69 students and 5 students.
Woodlands Middle School: 55 Students and 5 employees.
The school district acknowledges that the official numbers, above, are likely three days behind the true case count. It often takes the Florida Department of Health several days to confirm cases that may have been reported to select parents and students as part of a contact tracing, but not added to the official tracker.
