BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you know anything about a body on the side of I-595, police would like to hear from you.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says a body was found near Hiatus Road and I-595 eastbound around 1:30 this morning. For those of you who never leave gated communities in Boca Raton or Delray Beach, I-595 is a major east-west highway that connects Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to basically Weston.

Around 1:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 8, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a report of a person lying on the shoulder of I-595 near Hiatus Road. Davie Fire Rescue responded and pronounced the individual deceased on scene. FHP requested assistance from the Broward Sheriff’s Office to investigate the case. BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to the scene and will handle the investigation.
At this time, detectives are investigating this incident as a homicide. Anyone with information that can assist investigators or was driving on I-595 this morning and saw anything suspicious, should contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS
