BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County School Board Wednesday is expected to expel a middle school student.
While the Palm Beach County School District traditionally focuses on rehabilitation and education, the situation involving the student is apparently so dire that school officials have no choice. They believe the child must be removed from the school system.
The child, according to documents reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, “was found to be in possession of a knife while on the campus Palm Springs Middle School.” School District staff is recommending that “the final order be adopted and entered by the School Board.”
It was not immediately whether the student was charged with a crime or how the knife was found in the school. The expulsion session will be held behind closed doors. It is not open for public view.
