DELRAY BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A 20-year-old man running on I-95 in Delray Beach was unsurprisingly struck by a car which sent him flying into another lane where he was run over two times and killed.
I-95 is not a place to run or bike.
Florida Highway Patrol tells BocaNewsNow.com that the St. Cloud man was “running northeast on I-95 and across the Southbound lanes in a diagonal angle” towards a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old man from Lake Worth. That man, not expecting a person to be running in front of his car on I-95, hit the victim. The crash occurred around 5:25 Saturday morning.
“The pedestrian was thrown into the number four lane,” according to FHP, where two cars ran over him.

“The pedestrian succumbed to the injuries suffered by the crash and was pronounced deceased on the scene,” according to FHP.
An investigation continues. No charges have been filed. I-95 was closed and then slowed for several hours as firefighters washed the road.
