BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — Welcome to our first installment of a new feature we’re calling “Sirens.” It’s a daily look at where emergency workers went the day before. The calls are real, and our reporting is based on dispatch reports. We caution our readers, however: emergency workers can be dispatched for something that turns out to be nothing. We are publishing the original dispatch call — the reason rescuers were sent — but we won’t always have the disposition unless it evolved into a major news event.

This is a work in progress and just a sample of dispatch calls. Expect changes to the format over the days ahead. Our first report is abbreviated with a selection of calls.

7:06 p.m. Tuesday: Shooting in the 900 block of SW 6th Avenue in Delray Beach.

6:25 p.m. Tuesday: Medical problem at Kings Point in Delray Beach.

4:46 p.m. Tuesday: Car accident at Atlantic Avenue and South Legends Way in Delray Beach.

2:51 p.m. Tuesday: Structure Fire at 19615 South State Road 7 in Boca Raton. (There was no fire).

1:05 p.m. Tuesday: Fall with injury at Century Village in Boca Raton.

10:58 a.m. Tuesday: Fall with injury in Polo Club of Boca Raton.

9:01 a.m. Tuesday: Medical Alert Alarm in Boca Woods Country Club.

8:59 a.m. Tuesday: Sick Person in the CVS at Palmetto Park Road and Powerline in Boca Raton.

8:50 a.m. Tuesday: Fall with injury at the intersection of Glades Road and SR7/US441.

8:47 a.m. Tuesday: Fire alarm activation at Lakewood Midrise at Boca West.
