BROWARD COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — If you are flying out of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, PBI, or MIA this afternoon, we suggest checking with your airline before heading to the airport.

At Fort Lauderdale: JetBlue, United, Southwest, Spirit, Silver, Air Canada and others are all reporting delays as of mid-day Sunday. Some delays are insignificant. Others, including a JetBlue flight to White Plains, are logging multi-hour delays. The cause of the delays was not immediately clear.

PBI reports that Delta is logging several delays on Atlanta-bound flights, while JetBlue, Spirit and Southwest are also experiencing issues.

At Miami International Airport: Departure delays appear to be largely confined to international destinations, and largely American Airlines — the airport’s major carrier.

The arrivals board is also reporting several delays, although most appear to be insignificant. We are not seeing any cancellations, as of mid-day Sunday, for regularly scheduled flights.

The FlightAware “Misery Map” shows Denver and Miami International topping the list of airports experiencing significant delays. Fort Lauderdale is reporting more delays mid-day Sunday than Los Angeles International.
