BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The complete closure of I-95 northbound that BocaNewsNow.com first revealed several weeks ago is now upon us — starting Monday night for two nights. The closure, at Yamato Road, will continue for two nights. All traffic will be diverted off of the interstate.

This is the official advisory provided to BocaNewsNow.com from the Florida Department of Transportation.

“I-95 northbound lanes at Yamato Road will be closed to traffic overnight, 11 p.m. until 5 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20 through Wednesday, Dec. 22 for beam setting operations at the Clint Moore Road bridge over I-95. Traffic will be detoured via the I- 95 northbound exit ramp to Yamato Road, Congress Avenue, Peninsula Corp. Drive and the I-95/Congress Avenue interchange.

The I-95 northbound entrance ramps from Yamato Road and Spanish River Boulevard will also be closed to traffic during this time. FHP will be on site to assist motorists.”

The closure is part of the ongoing express lane project.
