Man Allegedly Stabs Dad 13 Times In Boca Raton Home.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is facing an attempted murder charge after allegedly stabbing his father 13 times.
Guillermo Alvarez, Jr., is charged with attempted murder. He is being held without bond in the Palm Beach County Jail for the alleged incident which occurred on January 12th. The police report was just released, we are publishing the narrative of the arrest:
“On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at approximately 0748 hours, PBSO Dispatch received information that Miguel A. Alvarez, H/M, DOB 09/22/64, had been stabbed multiple times by his son Guillermo M. Alvarez, H/M, DOB 04/28/98, which occurred at 7722 Villa Nova Drive, Boca Raton. At 0752 hours, PBSO Deputies and PBCFR Station 55 (Run 22-005467) arrived and made contact with both Miguel and Guillermo. Miguel identified Guillermo to Deputies and stated, “My son stabbed me!”
Guillermo was taken into custody without incident. While detaining Guillermo, he
spontaneously uttered several times, “It was self-defense!” Miguel was treated by PBCFR and transported to Delay Medical Center for further medical treatment. A knife with blood was located on the sidewalk near the mailbox of the residence with address “7722” labeled above.
Detectives made contact with the victim, Miguel, while receiving medical treatment who provided a sworn audio statement which revealed the following:
Guillermo has a history of unprovoked attacks on family where he was arrested and court-ordered to a facility for approx. 3 months. Guillermo is believed by family to be Bipolar.
On the evening of 01/11/22, while at home within the residence, Miguel entered the hallway and unintentionally bumped into Guillermo. Miguel informed Detectives that he noticed it startled Guillermo, but he didn’t say anything and walked to his room. On the morning of 01/12/22, just prior to PBSO Dispatch receiving the 911 call, Miguel was in the kitchen preparing coffee, when Guillermo attacked him from behind without warning. Guillermo stabbed Miguel 13 times with a kitchen knife.
Miguel stated during the attack, he attempted to push Guillermo
away in defense and to prevent further damage in doing so his finger went into Guillermo’s mouth. Guillermo bit the pinky finger of Miguel.”
Guillermo Alvarez was booked into jail at 2:22 p.m. on January 12th.
