BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A Boca Raton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly driving drunk and leaving the scene of a crash in South Palm Beach County.

Scott Rabinowitz of Sweetwater Lane in Boca Raton is now charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop at West Woolbright Road near Knuth Road in Boynton Beach. He was also ticketed for driving with a license “expired for more than six months,” and careless driving. The arrest was made by Boynton Beach Police.

Following his arrest for DUI Friday night, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office filed a separate citation against Rabinowitz for “leaving the scene of a crash with damage” on Military Trail in Lake Worth Beach. The crash allegedly occurred a short time before his DUI arrest. The affidavit of probable cause continues to be processed.

Rabinowitz was booked into jail at 11:34 Friday night, then released Saturday morning on his own recognizance. A court date is pending.
